"Diamonds are a girl's best friend"

So, this saturday and sunday we went to the competition in Göteborg. This would say if we have any chance to get to the Junior World Championship, also called World Challenge Cup for Juniors.

We didn't have the best luck with the weather, rainy and very windy. It turned out that it was a big storm that had gone through most of the country. Many people where without any electricity, and 3 people had died because of falling trees on the road.
But, we didn't have any clue about that, we were in our own world, with skates, ice, competition, winning, and competing feelings.

The first day of the competition, it was a good start, we were on a second place after the short program. This made us get even more power for the day after, when it will say whether we have a chance or not.

The other day, it was our captain's birthday. She turned 19.

We were going to skate as the 5th team of 6. So, after our skating, there would be one last team who would decide how the results would turn out to be.
We skated good, and our coach said that we should be proud. And, so there were one team left.
I didn't go and see how they skated, and I didn't wanted to listen to their results.

But just few seconds later, we heard our teammates rush to our dressing room, and they came with the huge smile. And we screamed for luck!! We came on a second place, and we have a chance to get to the Worlds champs!!

We couldn't believe, but it was true, and we were just so happy. The fate was with us. (or how you say..hehe)

And even if the storm was bad, we had an incredible bus driver, who took us all the way to Stockholm, even if the weather was risky, and there was many warnings on our road.

So, now we're going to practice so much, so that we can beat all the other teams in two weeks!! And this time, on our home ground, in Stockholm, where we will have so many supporters, that we're going to do even better!! I can't wait! (*v*)
