start packing maybe??

I've got nothing special to write about, but I just felt like writing something here...
It's not long until I'm going to Japan. I've not prepared my stuff or anything yet...I was supposed to start yesterday, but somehow it end up nothing. And I said to myself to begin today, but nah, nothing today either. Well, I've sorted out the clothes that needs to get in the washer. But nothing more. Oh, I've written a short list of what I have to take with me.
Today I bought a camera bag, the one I've been using was only for the camera, and now that I have one big zoom objective, I needed something bigger. I got a good one.

I have to contact some friends too, maybe I'll do it now before forgetting it.

Ah, this pic? Yes, I desperately wanna see 'Public Enemie' before going to Japan, but I haven't find a buddy to watch with. Maybe I'll go on my own in a near future, or I'll have to wait months to watch it...

40 years since The First Step

Today, 40 years ago, these three men went to the moon, two of them, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon, the first men on the moon. It's incredible, I wish I lived back then to watch it all live. I'll be able to watch parts of the journey today on TV. Well, yeah, they've shown different documentaries and stuff about Apollo 11 and the whole land-on-moon thing for some days. But I always get so facinated and excited when I watch these programs. Today, they'll show hours of this (^O^).

And I've watched more Star Wars lately. They showed Episode VI on TV two days ago, and yesterday I sat and watched Episode IV. Mark Hamill (Luke) looked so young in IV compared to VI! Now I have Episode I and V left to watch. Yeah, I watch them in a weird order... I wasn't planning on watching them like this, but ah, it's fine anyway. I'll see when I'll watch the last two episodes. Episode V was a long time... Episode I is like I remember it like yesterday. But I like it so.

"Harry?!" - "Sir??"

I've finally seen Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince. I dunno why but I've wanted to watch it for a long time. And yesterday night I went and saw it. The huge auditorium was filled with people, on every chair! And because I was late getting a ticket, I got one out of two last tickets. I sat on the balcony, but I had a huge head in front of me... I tried to sit on my knees, to see if I could get a bit higher over the head, but after a while my feet hurted, and I had to sit in a different way... And so I went on during the whole movie. But it seems I sat on a better place than my friends who sat on the usual seats, but way on the back. (Yeah, they took tickets before I jumped in and wanted to go with them).

Anyway, on to the movie. I'm not good at reviews, but let's try. No spoilers.
My friends wasn't so satisfied with the movie, but I think it was better than I hoped. I mean, there wasn't so much tension in the whole thing, but they've got some bright moments here and there. And the jokes were far better than some other HP movies. What I felt was, those important moments you read in the book wasn't lifted up so much. Like "who was the half-blood prince?" or how Harry tried to figure out who the half-blood prince was, or even the moment when he got to know who it was. Those kind of important moments were not so strong in this one. I think that was the most disappointed thing in the movie.
And it felt that Lavendel Brown took a lot of space, more than Hagrid, in the movie. I barely saw Hagrid, and I love him!
But anyway, it's always hard to get a book into a movie. Not many of these that really succeeds.

Now I'm waiting desperately for Public Enemies!!

"Lost a planet, Master Obi-Wan has"

Lately, I've been watching movies. And I picked up Star Wars Episode II, I love that movie. I think it's my favourite in the Star Wars Saga. The evening after I watched Episode III. It's the darkest one, and once again I realize what a sad story it's behind the whole Saga. I love the whole Star Wars Universe, I would like to visit a place like it, like Coruscant, or Naboo with the beautiful nature. I'll probably pick up Episode IV too, soon. It was a long time since I last saw it.

And soon it's been 40 years since Armstrong put his foot on the moon. On the TV, they're showing programs about the history of space crafts. Today I saw a program where they showed how it started, how USA and Russia tried to be the better one, the first one on going to space, the first one to get to the moon, the first ever to step a foot on the moon. Lots of things I already knew, but I hadn't seen the real videos so many times, that was interesting. And there were things I didn't knew about, like how many times Russia failed to get cosmonauts safely back to earth, how many times both countries actually lost their astronauts/cosmonauts. There was so many people involved, and people lost to get human beings into space. How hard it was, how much pressure for each countries to get first, win the competition about space.
It was really interesting.

So now I see the moon, tried to take some photos, but failed to take something good.
I was thinking back to the TV-program, realizing that there was a history, at the same time wondering how it felt to get there so close, to step on the moon's surface. And how much the people on earth that's been working on getting there, what they felt when the cameras filmed the moon, the earth seeing from the moon's horizon. It must've been amazing.

One of my dreams was being an astronaut.
Now I recall why I wanted to be it. And also, how hard it must be to actually make it come true. Now it's just a dream of a dream for me, daydreaming. But who knows, maybe there will be a space tourism in some years, maybe I'll be able to get to space as a tourist some day in my life. Let's hope.

PS. Btw, Harrison Ford turns 67 yrs today (13th). Congrats Han Solo!

nostalgic? meeting

I'm quite tired right now (after some hours in an amusement park with different big rollercoasters..! xD), but I'll write a shortie.

When I was on my way to the train, I met a cyclist and looked at his face, and then I recognized it for a slight moment, but couldn't be so sure. He also seemed to recognize me, so when we past both of us turned around again and then we were sure who the other was. He even asked me if I remembered him. I mean, okay, we went to same class from 1st to 3rd class in junior level (and went on same kindergarden), so I understand that he asked to be sure. After that, we went to different schools, we met one time when we were fifthgraders, but since that, nothing. The thing is, I think we met (he said so too) one time for some years ago, when I was on my way home from the ice rink, but he was on the bike so I wasn't sure back then.
I have been wondering for ages what he's like nowadays and what he does etc. I mean we were like best friends all those three years. We always played together, had so much fun! But after going on to different schools, we lost contact.
My friend said she met him in spring, they talked some and mentioned me, so I knew he still lived in the area. I was totally surprised when we suddenly bumped into each other. Sadly I had to run to the train, so we didn't have time to talk so much, but he's finally got facebook so we'll probably chat there, I hope.
After we parted, I couldn't stop smiling for myself, I was so happy to finally met him after so many years!
Maybe it's the power of Tanabata that finally let us met? haha..

Ok, I'll go to sleep now.
